What kind of therapy do you offer?
As LMFT Associates, we provide therapy to individuals, couples, and families. Our approach focuses on understanding and improving relationships, communication, and emotional well-being. We work with clients to explore the dynamics within their personal relationships and help them build healthier coping strategies. Common issues we address include anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship conflicts, and life transitions.
What are your hours of operation?
We offer therapy sessions only after hours during the week and on weekends to accommodate the schedules of clients who may have work or other obligations during traditional office hours. Sessions are available by appointment only.
How do I schedule a session? How do I schedule an appointment?
- New Clients: We offer a free 15-minute consultation to help you determine if our approach and delivery method align with your needs. This consultation allows us to briefly discuss your goals and assess if we’re a good fit. To schedule your consultation, simply contact us through the contact form on our website or call us directly. After the consultation, we can schedule your full session if you decide to proceed.
- Existing Clients: You can easily schedule your sessions through our website. Simply log in to the client portal to view available time slots and book your appointment. Sessions are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend checking availability early
What should I expect during a therapy session?
During our sessions, you can expect a safe, confidential environment where we will explore your concerns. We will listen to you without judgment, help you process emotions, and collaborate on developing strategies to address challenges you may be facing. Each session typically lasts 50 minutes, but longer sessions can be arranged if needed.
What is the cost of a session?
The cost for therapy is $100 per session for individual therapy and $125 per session for couples or family therapy. Please note that we do not accept insurance at this time. We strive to keep my fees reasonable and accessible while maintaining the quality of service. As a reminder, payments are accepted through our client portal.
Do you accept insurance?
Currently, we do not accept insurance. If you plan to use out-of-network benefits, you may be able to submit receipts for reimbursement. We recommend checking with your insurance provider for details on how to submit claims for therapy services.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance may incur a full service fee. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make any changes to your appointment.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes, therapy is confidential. We are bound by law and ethical guidelines to keep what we discuss private, with some exceptions. These exceptions include situations where you may be at risk of harm to yourself or others, or in the case of legal or ethical requirements. Please feel free to ask if you have any specific questions about confidentiality.
How long will I need therapy?
The length of therapy varies depending on your individual needs and goals. Some clients benefit from short-term counseling, while others may work with a therapist for longer periods. We will regularly discuss your progress and adjust the therapy plan as needed.
Can I book a session with you if I’m not currently in crisis?
Absolutely! Therapy is beneficial for a wide range of concerns, not just crises. Whether you’re looking to improve communication in your relationship, navigate a life transition, or manage stress, we can work with you to provide support and tools for personal growth and well-being.
